Maran Shuttle (Altera Infrastructure) Tankers Retrofits

Høglund successfully completed our first Samsung IAS retrofits—four complex system upgrades that proved seamless and highly efficient. These retrofits showcased Høglund’s reliable approach to challenging projects, delivering smooth installation, on-time completion, and fully operational systems despite limited documentation and extreme engine room conditions.

At the time of the retrofits, the vessels were owned by Altera Infrastructure (now Maran Shuttle Tankers). The work was performed at LISNAVE shipyard in Setubal, Portugal between Q3 2023 and Q1 2024 on:

• M/T Samba Spirit

• M/T Lambada Spirit

• M/T Bossa Nova Spirit

• M/T Sertanejo Spirit

Excellent teamwork with the customer ensured a smooth retrofit process and highly satisfied crews and operators. These first Samsung retrofits proved to be fully manageable, demonstrating Høglund’s consistent approach to complex system upgrades.
