Software Developer with inclination towards DevOps (AWS)

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Software Developer to join our team. You will work with modern cloud technologies, automation systems, and cross‑functional teams to build and improve Høglund’s next‑generation digital and automation solutions.

You will join our small software development team and contribute across cloud infrastructure, C# backend development, and modern web frontend work, depending on team priorities.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications and skills:

• Degree in computer science, automation, electrical engineering or similar
• Experience with C#/.NET, HTML/CSS, JavaScript
• Strong AWS experience (architecture, best practices, security)
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and Linux
• Problem‑solving skills and curiosity to learn new tech
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English

We know that you can't be an expert on everything; curiosity, problem‑solving ability, and willingness to explore new technologies are key driver skills for this role.

Technical Responsibilities

• Develop software for Høglund’s new automation system using C#
• Contribute to C# backend and web frontend development when needed
• Design, maintain, and optimize cloud‑based components of our products
• Set up, configure, and operate AWS services to ensure performance and uptime
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps Practices
• Conduct software, security, and performance testing
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Handle internal and external support related to our software products

Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work in a cross‑functional product team that iteratively improves our cloud and automation solutions
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Service to ensure cloud services support customer needs and product goals
• Participate in development meetings and code reviews

Ownership & Continuous Improvement

• Take ownership of cloud components throughout their lifecycle: design, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Take part in improving how we build, test, and deliver software
